Hope Community Services’ mission is to contribute to the development of healthy and inclusive communities in Australia. This mission is reflected in our work through a commitment to Reconciliation, a fundamental part of creating and nurturing hope and opportunity in the lives of all Australians.
The definition of Reconciliation is the act of “building better relationships between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples for the benefit of all Australians”. As part of our own journey towards Reconciliation, Hope has created a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). Our RAP is an agreed strategy of how Hope Community Services intends to contribute to strengthening intercultural relations and work towards making our services part of a more inclusive, just and culturally aware society.
