HOPE’s Board includes distinguished and talented people from different areas of the community. It’s an active Board that exercises strong oversight and governance, ensuring that Hope maintains high professional standards and achieves maximum delivery on its mission, to create hope and opportunity for people living marginalised lives.

Robert (Bob) Campbell, Chairperson – Robert is the Managing Director of Australian Audit – a specialist audit firm of chartered accountants in Perth and advises on charity tax matters. He is a registered auditor, registered tax agent and holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of New South Wales. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He had over 25 years leading social welfare and educational organisations in a variety of CEO positions in New South Wales and the Northern Territory before returning to public practice in 2004. He is an experienced director serving on the boards of several companies and charities in Perth.

Lara Drabble, Vice Chairperson – Lara has over 25 years’ experience working in General Insurance across a variety of Underwriting, Broking, Risk Management, and Sales Roles. Lara’s career focus on clients in the Faith, Education, and Not For Profit sectors informs her understanding of the unique challenges facing such organisations. Having held a variety of Leadership Roles Lara is currently acting State Manager for Catholic Church Insurance in WA.

Ian Passmore – Ian has been actively engaged in community and public service in numerous professional, leadership, executive management, board and volunteer roles over his entire career and has been instrumental in the establishment of several new organisations. He has served as a member, office holder or chair of numerous non-profit, public, university, health, hospital, government and community service boards, councils or committees particularly in the health, education, community services, medical research and management sectors. He is currently a member of numerous professional bodies including CPA Australia, the Graduate Management Association, Biotech Australia and the Australian Society of Microbiology and serves in numerous boards, committees, councils and task groups. He was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia in 2001 and the Centenary Medal in 2003.

Antonia (Toni) Stampalija – Antonia is an experienced CEO, Non-Executive Director and Strategist who, over the past 20 years, has worked primarily in the Not for Profit sector throughout Australia and internationally. She works with Boards and Executives to stimulate and guide strategic direction, business improvement and growth. Antonia holds a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Western Australia and Practitioner’s Certificate in Mediation and Conciliation (Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators).

Max Cozijn – Max is an experienced ASX/AIM Listed public company Finance Director and Company Secretary, with extensive knowledge and experience in company start-ups IPO’s, seed capital and project capital raisings, coupled with a detailed knowledge of good corporate governance requirements. He has experience in Auditing and establishment of sound financial controls and accounting/management systems for start ups and established operations. Max is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Major in Accounting & Economics) University of Western Australia.

Merinda March, CEO – Merinda is an experienced CEO with 22 years of executive experience in leadership roles in the Aged Care, Mental Health, Community and Primary Health Care sectors. Her current board appointments include membership of the Mental Health Commission’s Older Adult Mental Health Committee. Merinda has earnt a Bachelor of Counselling and Applied Psychology and has also completed the AICD Company Directors Course.

Tricia Murray AM (joined the Board September 2020) – Tricia has been the CEO of Wanslea Family Services since 2004. Prior to taking up the position at Wanslea, Tricia worked with Anglicare WA for nearly 10 years. She has worked in the community not for profit sector in NSW and Western Australia for over thirty years, primarily in management positions, with a focus on child protection, homelessness, family violence and children’s services. She has a degree in Social Work and a Master of Service Administration, is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors; a Justice of the Peace and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.

Stephen Cummins (joined the Board September 2020) – Stephen is a Principal at ACIL Allen’s Perth practice. Prior to joining ACIL Allen, Stephen was a Director with Deloitte’s national Health Advisory Practice. He has extensive health and human services experience. Before commencing a career in consulting, Stephen held a number of senior leadership roles within the WA Department of Health and Department of Treasury. Stephen has provided strategic advice and support, as well as leadership skills, to significant health-related projects for clients across Western Australia including St John Ambulance, Ramsay Healthcare, Incolink and WA Country Health Services.
Stephen holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Western Australia and completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Australian Direct Marketing Association.
