HOPE’s Board includes distinguished and talented people from different areas of the community. It’s an active Board that exercises strong oversight and governance, ensuring that Hope maintains high professional standards and achieves maximum delivery on its mission, to create hope and opportunity for people living marginalised lives.
Bob Campbell, Chairperson – Bob is the Managing Director of Australian Audit – a specialist audit firm of chartered accountants in Perth and advises on charity tax matters. He is qualified in audit, tax, accounting and the management of charities. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He had over 25 years leading social welfare and educational organisations in a variety of CEO positions in New South Wales and the Northern Territory before returning to public practice in 2004. He is an experienced director serving on the boards of several companies and charities in Perth.
Ronald Regan,Treasurer – Ron has an extensive and diverse working background which has taken him all over the world. Ron worked in banking for 26 years and came to Perth in 1989, where he established and managed a small cinema business which included the Astor, Cinema Paradiso and Camelot Picture Gardens. After the sale of the business, Ron was appointed Associate Professor and Acting Head at Murdoch University Business School. Ron has been appointed to the WA State Committee of National Disability Services and was the CEO Round Table of the Disability Services Commission. Ron currently serves on four sector Boards, Council on the Ageing WA, Council of the Ageing Australia, The Independent Centre for Applied Not-for-Profit Research and Hope Community Services.
Lara Drabble, Vice Chairperson – Lara has over 25 years’ experience working in General Insurance across a variety of Underwriting, Broking, Risk Management, and Sales Roles. Lara’s career focus on clients in the Faith, Education, and Not For Profit sectors informs her understanding of the unique challenges facing such organisations. Having held a variety of Leadership Roles Lara is currently acting State Manager for Catholic Church Insurance in WA.
Ian Passmore – Ian has been actively engaged in community and public service in numerous professional, leadership, executive management, board and volunteer roles over his entire career and has been instrumental in the establishment of several new organisations. He has served as a member, office holder or chair of numerous non-profit, public, university, health, hospital, government and community service boards, councils or committees particularly in the health, education, community services, medical research and management sectors. He is currently a member of numerous professional bodies including CPA Australia, the Graduate Management Association, Biotech Australia and the Australian Society of Microbiology and serves in numerous boards, committees, councils and task groups. He was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia in 2001 and the Centenary Medal in 2003.
Dianne Bianchini – Dianne is uniquely qualified to bridge the complexities between health and the community sector. Previous roles include Senior Executive Service in the WA Health Department, former Chair of a large not for profit Board, and current membership of not for profit and government Boards across education, and health leadership development. Dianne is a well-respected leader, strategic thinker, mentor and is a Charter Members of City Rotary. Dianne is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors program, a Fellow of the Australasian College of Health Service Managers and holds tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Health Administration and Management.
Dr Fran Pesich – Fran has provided embedded consulting support for a range of government and large private sector organisations for the past twenty years. Much of this work has been related to organisational systems improvement in areas such as asset management, project and contract management and capital expenditure. Fran has been a company director for over 30 years and chaired the Risk, Security and Compliance Committee for a private higher education provider for six years to 2018. She has worked as an independent management systems auditor for the two largest certification bodies in Australia. Her previous pro bono work with not-for-profit organisations includes strategic planning, publications and submissions development, project grants and contract management. Fran has held various elected voluntary roles in local not-for-profit organisations for the past 10 years. She has a doctorate in strategic flexibility and remains very interested in how organisations work. Fran is currently an Adjunct Research Fellow at UWA, an AICD Fellow and member of the Graduate Management Association.
