ICT Update

 

 

 

 

As discussed in this week’s All Staff Meeting, HOPE is transitioning IT services to Managed IT. The first phase of this transition is the migration of our telephone system.

You are receiving this notification PRIOR to the all staff notification as you have been identified as an integral part of HOPE’s Leadership, Business Support and Operations Teams to champion the transition and assist/support Teams in the regions with the transition to a new telephone system.

Your assistance, support and communication with service delivery staff is important and greatly appreciated. Please ensure you read this email to the end.

What’s Changing?

  • Migration Date: Weekend of 15-16 February 2025
  • Switch-Off Time: 5 PM, Friday 14 February
  • New Call System: Calls will now be managed via Microsoft Teams (Calls function) instead of 3CX.
  • Extensions, Numbers and Call Flows: No changes – they remain the same.
  • Desk Phones: Managed IT will reprogram these, prioritising critical services.

What You Need to Do Now

  1. Log in to MS Teams.
  2. Click on Calls (now enabled).
  3. You should see:
  4. A dial pad (left side of the screen).
  5. Test it: Call a colleague from both your laptop and mobile Teams app.
  6. If you don’t see the dial pad, log out and log back in.
