Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)

Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)

Hope has an agreed Reconciliation Action Plan to build better relationships between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The definition of Reconciliation is the act of “building better relationships between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples for the benefit of all Australians”.

As part of our own journey towards reconciliation, HOPE has developed an innovative RAP.

Our RAP is an agreed strategy of how we contribute to strengthening intercultural relations and work toward making our services part of a more inclusive, just, and culturally aware society.

We are currently developing a Stretch RAP. Bi-monthly meetings of our RAP Committee, with Aboriginal staff and community members, tracks our progress toward our goals.
